Siri Chilazi
Hello Leverett! I graduated from Harvard College and Leverett House in 2010 with a concentration in Chemistry & Physics and a Secondary Field in Government. After graduation, I worked for three years as a management consultant in New York before returning to Harvard for a joint MBA/MPP (Master in Public Policy) degree at Harvard Business School and Harvard Kennedy School. I was a Resident Tutor in Leverett from 2013 to 2018 (with my husband, JP Chilazi, who was my 2010 classmate in Winthrop House!) and have been a Non-Resident Tutor ever since. I’m part of the Pre-Career advising team and would love to help you write or revise your resume; prepare for interviews or informational chats; or have open career exploration conversations.
Since 2017, I’ve worked as a senior researcher at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School, where my focus is behavioral science and gender equality in the workplace. In my research, I run large-scale field experiments with companies to identify and test practical approaches to close gender gaps at work by de-biasing structures and designing fairer processes. I recently coauthored a book, Make Work Fair: Data-Driven Design for Real Results (HarperCollins, 2025), on this topic with my HKS colleague, Iris Bohnet.
Outside of academia, I’ve been a fitness instructor since my first year of college. You can find me teaching weekly classes (Pilates, Barre, Step Aerobics, Total Body Strength, Cardio Yoga, etc.) at the MAC and Hemenway and sharing workout tips on Instagram (@sirichilazi). My hobbies include cooking (vegetarian) and baking (the sweeter the better!), reading biographies, doing puzzles, and daily walks outdoors.
