John Nowak
In addition to my role as Resident Dean, I also serve as a Lecturer in the Study of Religion. I have research interests at the intersection of identity, reform, and literature in the context of 19th and 20th century South Asia. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, I completed my undergraduate degree in Political Science at McGill University, and I hold a Master of Theological Studies from Harvard Divinity School. I received my Ph.D. from Harvard University in the Study of Religion. I have worked for two think tanks, was a Teach for America corps member, and taught in a public-school setting for five years. In my spare time, I love running and biking long distances, going hiking and camping, and spending time outside. I also enjoy traveling, playing music, reading, and cooking with my wife and daughter.
