Muqing Xu

Hi everyone! My name is Muqing. I did my PhD at Harvard and now a postdoc in the physics department and Harvard Quantum Initiative. I work on cooling atoms to extremely low temperatures and use them to synthesize matter to perform quantum computation and simulation. During my college time I spent a year in Switzerland as an exchange student and travelled through about twenty European countries. Aside from research I love playing basketball, biking, hiking, skiing and many other sports. I am also very into photography and have been a GSAS student photographer for 4 years now to record student events. I am excited to join the Leverett House and meet everyone!
