Hi there! My name is Gasser Elbanna. I am ecstatic to serve as a resident tutor at Leverett House. I am a PhD student studying Speech Neuroscience and AI at GSAS. In my research, I use AI to develop models of human spoken communication with the overarching goal of understanding how our brains process speech and inform new treatments for hearing loss. I am originally from Egypt where I did my undergraduate degree in Systems and Biomedical Engineering at Cairo University. I moved to Switzerland to do my Masters in Neuroscience and Neuro-engineering at EPFL. Outside of work, I enjoy running, playing chess, horseback riding, and museum-hopping. At Leverett, I serve in the International student support, and Language tables committees. Please don’t hesitate to reach out anytime.
