I am a fourth-year PhD student at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I study how alternative pathways to the workforce–i.e., postsecondary programs that do not end in a bachelor's degree–can mitigate economic and social inequality for individuals from disadvantaged communities. While originally from New York, I grew up in North Carolina and have lived and worked all over the United States – Phoenix, Oakland, and Chicago, just to name a few places. In my free time, you can find me hanging out with my wife–and fellow tutor–Claudia, writing short stories and plays, running along the Charles River, or watching football or basketball (Go Heels!). I’m excited to be part of the Leverett community and look forward to meeting you this year.
