Howard has been at Harvard in various capacities since 1964 except for 4 years for graduate school at Yale and has been lucky to enough to do physics with many wonderful colleagues and students. In addition to many awards for physics and teaching, he is proud of being a Fellow of the Association for Women in Science "for his pioneering and sustained advocacy of women in physics." He is happy to discuss the history of the last 60 years of physics and Harvard.

Before becoming a House Master with Howard, Ann was the Head technician in several high-powered biology labs. She used this experience to set up (with Rob Lu and others) the current system of biomedical advising.
